What is Dichroic Glass?

Dichroic glass is a type of glass that contains multiple layers of metal oxides. These layers are designed to reflect certain wavelengths of light while allowing others to pass through. As a result, dichroic glass appears to change color when viewed from different angles. The colors produced by dichroic glass are typically very bright and vibrant.

We offer:

• Solid sheets of monolithic DichroGlass™ made in a multi-million dollar metal deposition chamber. (This is NOT a cheap laminated film glass product!)
• Tempered and heat strengthened DichroGlass™ available.
• SGP laminated DichroGlass™ available. (NOT a cheap laminated dichroic film product!)
• Large panel sizes available.
• Issue free compared to the inferior laminated film which has ripples, de-lamination, irregular color streaks, failures after installation, etc.
• We offer DichroGlass™ in larger sizes than found anywhere — 144” x 96” maximum. These panels a produced in a multi-million dollar metal deposition chambers. We do NOT provide the cheap film that many others do.

DichroGlass™ by TCG Glass is either annealed, laminated or tempered glass product depending on the option selected. Laminated & tempered options meet all safety requirements.

DichroGlass™ by TCG Glass is either a laminated or tempered glass product depending on the option selected. Both options meet all safety requirements.

SIZE AVAILABILITY AND COLOR

Annealed

3/16" thick annealed glass available in sizes up to 144” x 96”.

Laminated

Available in sizes up to 144” x 96” laminated glass is 3/8"+ in thickness. The majority of our orders we provide cut to size fyi to receive cost of glass, crating and freight.

Colors

We currently offer 3 standard transparent colors can be seen below. These can be laminated with etched glass, textured glass, or mirrors for custom products. We also offer our Peacock Mirror products which are dichroic mirror products!

TCG DICHROIC GLASS CASE STUDY

Glass: TCG DichroGlass™ laminated glass

Located in Anchorage, Alaska this sculpture includes 300 panels of our DichroGlass™. The panels are all 24” x 24” in size and are laminated with polished edges. The lamination material had to be able to withstand the harsh Alaska winters. We also drilled a 1-1/2” diameter hole in center of each panel to accommodate mounting hardware.

The tiles are arranged in a giant swirl in the shape of a curled wood shaving. As the curl descends the glass, it is replaced by stainless steel squares that eventually spread and scatter on the ground, stretching about 40 feet in front of the base of the sculpture.

We are very excited to have developed this product for the team.
