We have had the opportunity to work on numerous historical glass flooring projects over the years. Glass flooring has been around 90+ years. They are now being replaced by modern glass flooring systems due to the fact that certain support structures are deteriorating and the difficulty in replacing cracked or broken cast glass panels. We have a great deal of experience working on these types of projects and if you have any questions please let us know.
Historical glass flooring transforms the museum experience by offering visitors a unique vantage point to observe exhibits from above. This innovative design allows for an unobstructed view of artifacts displayed beneath the floor, enhancing both the visual appeal and educational value of the museum experience. Visitors can engage with exhibits in a new way, exploring layers of history through the transparent flooring that seamlessly integrates with the overall aesthetic of the museum. This approach not only preserves the integrity of the artifacts but also elevates the storytelling aspect, providing an immersive journey through time.
We are able to create durable and long-lasting glass flooring systems that can withstand heavy foot traffic and meet stringent safety standards including but not limited to ASTM C1048, ASTM C1172-9, ASTM C1036, SA HB 198:2014 (Australian), British Specification 7976-2, ASTM 2751-11.
