Interior Glass Flooring Portfolio

Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum, Hyde Park NY

Showcasing an incredible interior glass floor, this space allows visitors to immerse themselves in the home office of one of our most esteemed presidents. Designed by TCG Glass, these glass floors incorporate our GlassGrit™ transparent walking surface to ensure an exceptional anti-slip experience and safety for guests. The glass floors are seamlessly transparent, enabling visitors to feel as though they are gliding above FDR's personal library.

Edmonton International Airport

The design team responsible for the new Edmonton International Airport terminal commissioned TCG Glass to create glass flooring panels capable of supporting the weight of an airport passenger vehicle. TCG Glass engineered these glass floor panels to consist of five layers of 1/2" Low Iron tempered glass, with the bottom two layers offset to accommodate the underlying metal support system.

With a thickness of 2-1/2" (63.5mm), the glass floor panels are designed to meet weight requirements and comply with ASTM E2751, the Standard Practice for Design and Performance of Supported Glass Walkways. The glass flooring panels are engineered to support a load of 3,800 lb. (1,724 kg.).

Oklahoma City Federal Building - OKC, OK

The design team for this project prioritized ensuring that the glass floor panels remained securely in place under all conditions. To achieve this, TCG supplied a custom top layer that enabled hardware to be attached on TOP of the glass flooring panels, effectively securing them to the structural support system.

This project showcases more than 32 glass flooring panels, each measuring 32" x 95", featuring a modesty layer of textured cast glass on the underside. The anti-slip surface utilizes our exclusive GlassGrit™ product, and these glass floor panels have been installed flawlessly since 2011. Note - TCG Glass also provided all of the laminated cast glass handrails both inside and outside of the building.
